Your Daily Calorie Intake Can Lead To Obesity

Were you aware that a low daily calorie intake can lead to obesity? How many times have you heard someone say, “She (or he) just eats like a bird.” That person apparently does not know that a bird can eat several times its own weight in food! Fortunately, we humans don't do that. This phrase is used to mean that a person eats very little, and it can apply to many people who are obese.

These people have tried diet after diet, for a time span that is going on year after year, and are no closer to being the size they want to be. In fact, it seems to them that every time they go “off their diet” that not only do they gain back whatever weight they may have lost, they also add a few more pounds!

Even though your daily calorie intake may be small, the “yo-yo” dieting that you have done is what keeps you from losing any substantial amount of weight. Starving yourself has the opposite effect of what most people think. All it does is reset your metabolism for a smaller number of calories each day.

The body thinks this amount is all it can expect during a 24 hour period, so it makes do with what it has. Since the body is not getting enough calories to sustain itself as it normally does, it is going to store away every single calorie that passes through a dieter's lips so that it can be sure to have some of the energy it needs. When this happens, it's a pretty safe bet that your body has entered starvation mode. You will be quite tired while in this mode, for the body is storing energy instead of burning it.

Without enough fuel for energy, the body turns to the fat and muscle it contains. This sounds kind of good to the dieter, believe it or not, because fat is certainly what they want to burn! They don't realize that since it is much easier for their body to get the energy it needs from their muscles, that more lean muscle tissue will be burned than fat!

Of course, the muscles are going to get smaller because of this. Less muscle equals a slower metabolism, so instead of doing your body some good with that fad diet, you are actually doing it quite a disservice. Then, when you finally do break down and eat, your body is going to be at first surprised, and then will start to store every bite! That's why too much fad dieting can cause an obese person to gain weight, and keep gaining!

The only way you can break this cycle is to, believe it or not, EAT. Yes,  you are going to eat around every 4 hours when you use the calorie rotation method to lose weight. This actually fools your body into thinking you aren't on a diet at all! It also boosts your metabolic level so that you will start to burn calories, too. Calorie rotation can turn the life of an obese person around, and help them to lose weight and keep it off for perhaps the very first time in their lives.
